Installing and maintaining networks is an intricate part of any IT support company. Networks can be as small as one computer and a modem router for an Internet connection. Typically they are several computers interconnected with printers, photocopiers, NAS drives and as they grow larger, Servers. IP over Power
IP over Power is a technology that utilises your building electrical circuits to channel network communications between devices. It is an alternative to Wireless technology and dedicated cabling. In some establishments wireless communications can be hindered by electrical fields or physical barriers such as steel framed walls. Dedicated cabling can be impractical due to cost or physical constraints such as distance or aesthetic concealment. Enter IP over Power.
